This Indian study demonstrated telmisartan to be efficacious and tolerable for BP control in Indian hypertension patients when used as monotherapy or in combination therapy. The benefits of telmisartan were independent of age, duration, and stages of hypertension.

A recent analysis of data from 1226 adults suggested a potential link between the Triglyceride-Glucose (TyG) index and sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL). Results indicated a U-shaped relationship, suggesting that both low and high TyG levels negatively impacted hearing thresholds, particularly in high frequencies. Maintaining a balanced TyG index may be linked to better speech and high-frequency hearing thresholds.

In women of childbearing age, a lower Composite Dietary Antioxidant Index (CDAI) was linked to a 1.85-fold increased risk of RA, while endometriosis (EM) presence correlated with a 3.05-fold higher risk. A combined effect of lower CDAI & EM further heightened RA risk (OR: 3.94). These findings underscored the importance of antioxidant-rich diets in managing disease outcomes in EM-related RA.
