In patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) who underwent intravenous thrombolysis (IVT), researchers identified an inverse U-shaped association between uric acid (UA) levels and favorable outcomes at 3 months post-IVT. Elevated UA levels were predictive of positive outcomes in individuals without hyperuricemia but correlated with negative outcomes in those with hyperuricemia.
