Artificial tears are the first-line treatment for dry eye. Eye drops combining HA and HPG may provide synergistic benefits in enhancing ocular surface hydration and decrease friction to a greater extent than formulations containing a single polymer. The current presentation gives a brief overview of the advantages of dual polymer based artificial tears in the management of dry eye.
