An Uncommon Complication of Diabetes: Diabetic Muscle Infarction with Diabetic Ketoacidosis

A 23-year-old woman with type 1 diabetes was admitted with DKA and left leg pain. She was treated with insulin for glucose levels and intravascular volume correction. For her leg, celecoxib, clopidogrel, and rest were prescribed. After 10 days, her condition improved. She was discharged with instructions to continue celecoxib for one month and clopidogrel for three months. She eventually recovered fully.
