Extra intestinal manifestations are common in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. These manifestations can affect different organ systems of a patients. The skin and the mucosa often affected as a result of inflammatory bowel disease. Common manifestations when this organ system is affected includes Erythema Nodosum, Pyoderma Gangrenosum, Sweet’s syndrome and Aphthous Stomatitis. Successful therapy of EIM is essential for improving quality of life of patients with IBD. This slide set covers the common skin manifestations and its management.
