This case highlights the necessity of conducting essential laboratory tests for UTIs before initiating antimicrobial treatment in diabetic patients. Initial antimicrobial and nephrological treatments led to relapse due to the absence of proper urine analysis. After proper analysis, targeted Fosfomycin therapy was initiated, and comorbidities were managed, resulting in complete symptom relief.
